RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
Adopt Resolution No. FFD 2024-001, appointing a President and Vice-President of the Fontana Fire Protection District for the term of one year.

COUNCIL GOALS:

DISCUSSION:
The Fontana Fire Protection District is a public body, corporate and politic, duly established and authorized to transact business and exercise its powers, all pursuant to the Fire Protection District Law of 1987 of the State of California(commencing with Section 13800, et seq., of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California).
The Fire Protection District Law of 1987 of the State of California provides that the District has the right to appoint any necessary employees to effectively manage the district. The current President and Vice-President were appointed in January 2023.
