RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
1. Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No.1 to Task Order with Albert Webb and Associates for Inspection Services for the Sierra Avenue Widening Project between Foothill Boulevard and Baseline Avenue (SQ-87-DE-19-30) in the amount of $121,800.00 for a total contract amount of $425,800.00.
2. Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute future individual Task Order Amendments not exceeding $100,000.00 for the Sierra Avenue Widening Project between Foothill Boulevard and Baseline Avenue.

DISCUSSION:
The City of Fontana’s approved Capital Improvement Program Budget includes the Sierra Avenue from Foothill Boulevard to Baseline Avenue Street Improvement Project (“Project”). The proposed improvements include widening Sierra Avenue to six (6) lanes with curb, gutter, sidewalks, raised landscaped median, decorative streetlights, and a new traffic signal at Sierra Avenue and Reed Street intersection. The construction began in July 2022 and is expected to be substantially completed in April 2024.
On June 28, 2022, the City Council approved a Task Order for Albert Webb and Associates to provide inspection services for the Project. This amendment to the Task Order is necessary as the construction has experienced unexpected delays due to utility coordination and weather. This Amendment accounts for all anticipated inspection services until construction completion barring any unforeseen construction conditions.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The fiscal impact associated with the approval of this item is $121,800.00 for the full term of the Agreements and is included in the 2023-2024 budget, $82,702.20 in 37603281-245-A-8115 and $39,097.80 in 37603281-630-A-8115.
