COUNCIL GOALS:

DISCUSSION:
The Fontana Community Foundation is an asset and benefit that is leveraged for the betterment of the residents and community of Fontana. Various private and public donors contribute funds to the foundation to enable and further its mission in the City of Fontana.
Among those missions is to support the continued education of our youth and to support secondary education. The amendments to the by-laws proposed in this item are intended to strengthen the Community Foundation’s ability to serve the community in this way and to ensure that programs that use foundation funds are properly and appropriate aligned with state law governing non-profit foundations in California.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact for the City of Fontana.
