RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
1. Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute an Amendment No. 2 to Task Order No. 3 with David Evans and Associates, Inc. in the amount of $47,000 and an amended task order total of $140,000 for additional landscape plan check and inspection services.
2. Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute any future amendments to Task Order No. 3 with David Evans and Associates, Inc.

COUNCIL GOALS:
• To invest in the city's infrastructure (streets, sewers, parks, etc.) by providing for the development of new infrastructure.
DISCUSSION:
On October 22, 2019, the City Council approved the Pre-qualified Firms List to provide professional engineering services and authorized the City Manager to execute a Master Agreement with selected firms on an as-needed basis for a period of five (5) years from approval. Subsequently, the City and David Evans and Associates, Inc. entered into a master agreement that included landscape plan checking and inspection services. The master agreement is included as an attachment, herein.
Due to the high volume of plan review requests, an amendment to the existing task order is requested in the amount of $47,000 to provide timely plan check review services.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The fiscal impact associated with the approval of this item is $47,000 and is included in the 2023-24 budget in the General Fund (Fund 101) account 10137404-8130. The initial task order was in the amount of $50,000. Amendment No. 1 added $43,000. This request, if approved, will add $47,000, bringing the total to $140,000.
