RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
1. Accept as complete the work performed by Fidelity Builders for the tenant improvements to the Cypress and Knopf Center Project (PW-24-20-PW) and approve the final construction costs of $477,275.50.
2. Authorize the Public Works Director to file a Notice of Completion and release the 5% retention.

COUNCIL GOALS:

DISCUSSION:
On November 14, 2023, the City Council Awarded a construction contract with Fidelity Builders in the amount of $427,092.00 and authorized a contingency fund in the amount of $42,709.00 for the Tenant Improvements to Cypress and Knopf’s Centers Project (PW-24-20-PW).
The project was completed on April 10, 2024, with a final construction cost of $477,275.50. Three (3) contract change orders were executed during the construction of the project totaling $50,183.50. All work has been completed to the satisfaction of the City of Fontana.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The City received American Rescue Plan Act funds from San Bernardino County which are budgeted in the current FY 2023/2024. Budget in Project Account No. 37300003-304-C-8313, $477,275.50.
