Recommendation
Adopt Resolution No. 2024-051, a resolution of the City Council of the City of Fontana adopting the updated Executive and Management Confidential salary tables, effective July 13, 2024.

DISCUSSION:
The City’s objective is to attract and retain the best talent to serve the Fontana residents and business community by offering attractive and competitive salaries and benefits. In an effort to be consistent, equitable, and fair, staff is recommending the attached Executive and Management Confidential salary tables, which affords Executives and Management Confidential employees a 3.0% base salary cost of living adjustment.
Formal adoption of all City Salary Tables is in accordance with the guidelines provided by the California Public Employee Retirement System (CalPERS).
FISCAL IMPACT:
The fiscal impact associated with the approval of this item is $614,300, which includes $493,700 for the Management Confidential classifications and $120,600 for the Executive classifications. Of this amount, $120,600 was included in the 2024-25 Supplemental Budget. The required additional appropriation of $493,700 will be requested in the 2024-25 First Quarter Budget Report.
