COUNCIL GOALS:

DISCUSSION:
Pursuant to Ordinance 78, the City of Fontana entered into a contract with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration to perform all functions incident to the administration and collection of local sales and use taxes. The representatives from the City that are currently authorized to examine confidential sales and use tax records pursuant to that contract are the Management Services Director, the Senior Internal Auditor, and The HDL Companies. As the position of Senior Internal Auditor no longer exists, the title of Management Services Director has been changed, and the entity doing business as The HDL Companies has had a title change, the proposed resolution will authorize the Chief Financial Officer, the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, Revenue Operations Manager, and Hinderliter de Llamas & Associates dba HDL Companies as representatives authorized to examine the records.
