RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation

Accept as complete the work performed by Interior Demolition Inc. for the Demolition Project (PW-26-14-CC) of 16756 and 16766 Arrow Blvd and approve the final amount of $218,101.70.

COUNCIL GOALS:

                     Invest in the City’s infrastructure (streets, sewers, parks, etc.) by providing for the development of new infrastructure.

 

DISCUSSION:

On December 9, 2025, the City awarded the demolition contract to Interior Demolition Inc. in the amount of $208,168.00 for the demolition of 16756 and 16766 Arrow Blvd Project (PW-26-14-CC). There were two (2) contract change orders for this project for the removal and disposal of an underground septic tank and to backfill with slurry a seepage pit that was discovered onsite totaling $9,933.70. Interior Demolition Inc. completed the project on April 27, 2026. All work has been completed to the satisfaction of the City for the final amount of $218,101.70.

 

The retention money will be released to the contractor thirty-five (35) days after the filing of the Notice of Completion with the County recorder’s Office. 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact associated with the approval of this item, the total cost of the demolition is $218,101.70 and the funds were budgeted in FY 2025/2026 in the Professional Services Budget 60230000-8310.
