RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
1. Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Change Order No. 1, 2 and 3 to the Equipment Purchase Agreement (SP-71-IT-23) with Matrix Audio Visual Designs, Inc. in the amount of $131,829.55 for a total contract of $1,067,013.42 for the Stage Red audio visual system upgrades.
2. Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute any future amendments to the Agreement.

DISCUSSION:
The City of Fontana has undertaken an expansive and comprehensive revitalization of Downtown Fontana. The specific geographic area to be targeted includes Upland Ave to the North, Orange Avenue to the South, Mango Ave to the East and Juniper Ave to the West. A primary component of this revitalization effort will be the creation of an entertainment district as a draw for consumers to enjoy as they discover the new downtown area. Stage RED is the keystone to the creation this new entertainment district for the city.
Matrix Audio Visual Designs, Inc. was originally awarded a contract January 2023 in the amount of $935,183.87 for a new audio visual system, recording system and lighting to meet the needs and demands for operation of the renovated venue for live music and entertainment.
Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $25,735 adds additional amplifiers and loudspeakers and a substitute decoder due to discontinuation of parts in the original scope.
Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $38,469.21 adapts the lighting system to incorporate changes in the architectural design of the theater that occurred after the date of the original agreement and scope.
Change Order No. 3 in the amount of $67,625.34 accommodates additional necessary electrical and cabling modifications and installation.
The recommended change orders are required to equip Stage RED with the most comprehensive and cohesive technological upgrade audio visual system.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Fiscal Impact associated with the approval of this item is $131,829.55. Which is included in the FY2023/24 budget in Fund 601 - Capital Improvement, project #37300002.
