RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation

Approve and authorize the City Manager to enter into a Landscape Maintenance Agreement to establish maintenance obligations and certain rights incidental to the public right-of-way along John Previti Avenue and Citrus Avenue.

End

 

COUNCIL GOALS:

                     To invest in the City’s infrastructure (streets, sewers, parks, etc.) by maintaining and improving the city's existing infrastructure.

                     To invest in the City’s infrastructure (streets, sewers, parks, etc.) by providing for the development of new infrastructure.

 

DISCUSSION:

On July 27, 2021, the City Council approved MCN20-099, SPA Amendment No. 21-004, TPM21-003 (TPM No. 20237), and Design Review No. 21-002. To adhere to the Specific Plan requirements, the developer is required to construct various improvements along John Previti Avenue and Citrus Avenue.

 

As part of these improvements, the developer, HDO4, LLC, has expressed a desire to maintain the landscaped median and trees within the public right-of-way along John Previti Avenue and Citrus Avenue, within their project boundary. The proposed Landscape Maintenance Agreement will establish the landscape maintenance obligations for these areas.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact associated with the approval of this item.

 

MOTION:

Approve staff recommendation.
