Recommendation
Adopt Resolution No. 2026-029 appointing Mayor Warren as the City of Fontana’s representative to the San Bernardino Regional Housing Trust (SBRHT) Board of Directors.

COUNCIL GOALS:
• Provide a diverse range of housing types and levels of affordability while addressing homelessness in the community.
• Concentrate on Inter-governmental relations by working cooperatively with neighboring jurisdictions.
DISCUSSION:
Following the City Council’s approval of participation in the San Bernardino Regional Housing Trust (SBRHT) Joint Powers Authority (JPA), each member agency is required to designate one locally elected official to serve on the SBRHT Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the Housing Trust, including funding priorities, program development, and regional housing initiatives. Representation on the Board ensures that the City of Fontana has a direct role in decision-making related to affordable housing investment and policy at the regional level.
Staff recommends the appointment of Mayor Warren to serve as the City’s representative on the SBRHT Board of Directors.
