The City Council is asked to approve a proclamation declaring May as "National Cities, Towns, and Villages Month" and to support efforts to promote community engagement and celebration throughout the month.

COUNCIL GOALS:
• Increase citizen involvement by informing the public about issues, programs, and accomplishments.
• Create and maintain a dynamic team by supporting the decisions of the majority once made.
DISCUSSION:
The City Council recognizes the vital role that cities, towns, and villages play in the fabric of our society, providing places for people to live, work, and thrive. In celebration of these communities and their contributions to our collective well-being, the Council proposes declaring the month of May as "National Cities, Towns, and Villages Month."
Cities, towns, and villages are the building blocks of our society, each with its own unique character, history, and significance. They provide essential services, infrastructure, and opportunities for residents to connect, engage, and prosper.
