Recommendation
1. Authorize City Manager to complete upgrades to the Fontana Auto Center pylon signage in the amount of $127,710.

COUNCIL GOALS:

DISCUSSION:
The Fontana Auto Center represents a significant economic engine for the City of Fontana, fostering a concentration of automotive businesses that contribute substantially to the local economy. Recent weather conditions and normal wear have caused significant damage to the existing pylon sign, hindering its functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Additionally, the current sign configuration only allows spacing for up to six auto dealerships. Due to dealership expansion at the Fontana Auto Center, the pylon signage now requires spacing for up to twelve. The limited space restricts the ability to effectively showcase each dealership and its offerings.
The City of Fontana has an existing agreement with Electra Media Inc (EMI) to maintain the pylon signage.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding is available in the current fiscal year; upon approval, funds will be drawn from 60110500-8030 for refurbishment expenditures. Under the current contract obligation with EMI refurbishment, the expenditures will total $127,710.00.
