RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
Approve Fiscal Year 2025/2026 General Assessment Membership Dues and all future SBCOG dues according to the JPA Agreement.

COUNCIL GOALS:
• Concentrate on Inter-governmental relations by working cooperatively with neighboring jurisdictions.
• Concentrate on Inter-governmental relations by establishing partnerships and positive working relationships with other public agencies providing services to residents and local businesses.
DISCUSSION:
On March 12, 2024, City Council approved Amendment No. 4 to the San Bernardino Associated Governments Joint Powers Authority Agreement. Under the new formula, member fees would be assessed based on a 50% Population/50% Fund Sales and Property Tax Revenues Received. The agreement also allowed for a CPI of 2% annually to cover the regular increases in cost.
For Fiscal Year 2025/2026, the City's dues amount to $102,227, which is over the City Manager’s signing authority.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds were appropriated at the last budget cycle, and there is a budget in place in account 10110200.8010.
