RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
1. Approve and authorize the City Manager to enter into Amendment No. 4 to Task Order No. 4 with KOA, a Lochner Company, for the Sierra Avenue at Riverside Avenue Traffic Signal Project in the amount of $145,570.00, for a total task order amount of $293,470.00.
2. Authorize the City Manager to enter into any future amendments to the Task Order not exceeding $100,000.00.

COUNCIL GOALS:

• To invest in the City’s infrastructure (streets, sewers, parks, etc.) by maintaining and improving the city's existing infrastructure.
DISCUSSION:
The proposed improvements for the Sierra Avenue at Riverside Avenue Traffic Signal Project include construction of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Sierra Avenue at Riverside Avenue. The implementation of a signal at this intersection will improve the flow of the traffic and enhance safety. Roadway widening, signage, and striping will also be improved with this project.
This Amendment No. 4 will permit KOA, a Lochner Company, to perform the additional scope changes to the project. These scope changes incorporate design changes, right-of-way determination, and potholing for the new traffic signal foundation locations.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The fiscal impact associated with the approval of this item is $145,570.00 and is included in the current FY 2026/2027 Budget in the Sierra Avenue at Riverside Avenue Traffic Signal Project No. 37603329-601-A-8113.
