Recommendation
Accept donations from Jesus “Jesse” Sandoval in the amount of $250 and Jesse Armendarez in the amount of $1,000 for use toward the 2026 Veterans Day Celebration.
End
COUNCIL GOALS:
• Operate in a businesslike manner by creating memorable customer experience with every interaction.
• Increase citizen involvement by seeking community input.
• Invest in the City’s infrastructure (streets, sewers, parks, etc.) by creating and promoting community through people, parks, and programs.
DISCUSSION:
The Community Services Department receives donations and sponsorships from many local companies to help support and enhance various programs, activities, and events. Jesse (Jesus) Sandoval donated $250, and Jesse Armendarez donated $1,000 toward the 2026 Veterans Day Celebration and are recognized as a Presenting Title Sponsor of this event.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The $250 and $1,000 donations were deposited into account 101.3520 for use in offsetting costs for the 2026 Veteran’s Day Celebration.
