Approve the donation of 254, 800 Mhz Radios and 32 Charging Stations to San Bernardino County Radio.

COUNCIL GOALS:
• Practice sound fiscal management by producing transparent information in a timely matter.
• Concentrate on Inter-governmental relations by establishing partnerships and positive working relationships with other public agencies providing services to residents and local businesses.
DISCUSSION:
The Police Department currently has 254 (800 Mhz) radios and 32 charging stations that are no longer being utilized. While this equipment has met its useful life and has been replaced with advanced technology, San Bernardino County Radio currently still uses the older model and can utilize the donated radios to repair their existing malfunctioning/broken inventory.
If approved, the radios and charging stations will be donated in “as-is” condition with no warranty.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact.
